Here, just a few things I noticed in FSPort.

1. The Credits screen in the Tech Room plays the FS2 credits music. Editing music.tbl would fix this, but I'm not sure how that affects compatibility with retail FS2. (Also shows FS2 concept art instead of FS1's, though this isn't very important at all.)

2. HUD elements look bad when scaled for 1024x768/sparky_hi_fs1.vp (I'm already working on this, though)

3. FS2 ship briefing icons. I could probably make a simple VP that replaces those graphics (E.G. Perseus) with the relevant FS1 ship.

4. The weapon loadout icon for the Fury looks too grey and washed out compared to the rest.

5. The menus in 640x480 and 800x600 look more like FS2's than FS1's (green instead of grey) This might be a large undertaking to fix however, as I'm sure you guys have more important things to iron out.

So far these are the only problems I've noticed. I'll update the topic with fixes/more problems if I find/do them.

2 and 3 : they are already working on it, just join the rest of us waiting for the next release

4 and 5 : I don't know why a sensible person would ever thought of not using 3d models for weapon selection or running on any resolution under 1024. Unless you are trying to run FSO on a pre-Colombian writing machine

In the "Credits" mission, I'm seeing the earth/moon with it's green box around it still. Also, I'm not seeing any actual credits...

Dunno about the credits, but for the square: download this fix and extract the file from the .rar to \freespace2\fsport\data\effects\ .
