Questions about inferno alliance

Playing inferno Nostos and loving it so far. But now I am eyeing inferno alliance and I have some questions about it.

-Is it a prequel?
-Am I able to play as the EA ?
-Since it's been out for a long time, does alliance's story still line up with the Nostos's release? (Part of the reboot continuity of inferno)

It's before the formation of the EA as far as I know, maybe they kick in around the endgame?

EA would of been playable in the final act but in the current version no.

For the most part yes, some events would of been changed but the main story remains mostly the same for that early chapter.
