And don't forget the Silver Scythes!

(There's also a hint to the events from Vassago in the Cretheus' tech description.)

I think the campaigns that fall within Silent Threat: Reborn continuity can also be counted.

This one is a little tricky.  The events from ST:R take place in the BP continuity, but the events from BP do not take place in the ST:R continuity.  So you can't assume BP details about the universe, the Shivans, and such when talking about ST:R.

This is true of every campaign BP references though.

Well not really, since Vishnan ships are not actually retextured Ancient ships in the BP continuity...

That's a reference, but Derelict didn't happen in BP continuity.

There's nothing explicitly preventing them from fitting together, but a member of the team has said that if BP ever does do the Ancients they'll be a lot weirder than in ASW.

Re: What user made campaigns fit within the Blue Planet continuity?
Hm... dont get me wrong but i dont have a 3rd shivan incursion in my memory regarding derelict.

I would say the Nyarlathotep (did i spell that damn name right? Srsly, before the voice acting i had no clue how to pronounce that, and no, i never did read Lovecraft) was an incident, not a full invasion. As far as i remember the Nya's fleet didnt attack any planets or outpost apart form that shipyard besides the one jump node. For me it always seemed that this fleet just wanted to get home and not eliminate the GTVA.

So, i dont see that much of discrepancy between BP and Derelict.

Ok, i have to say i am a hopeless Derelict fanyboy  :p , simply because i love this campaign and for me it always seemed that it catched the Freespace 2 feeling best.
Why i like BP and can not wait to see how the story ends, i still dont know what to think about some of the tricks you guys pulled. I am here to fly a space shooter and some of the stuff Act 3 does dont fall into that very well. So i have a bit of mixed feelings about it. And tbh.: giving a fighter pilot stratigic (or tactical) command simply sounds like a bad idea to me. I kinda miss my RTS interface in the cockpit tbh.

Btw.: If u want to turn FS2 into an RTS, i am all for it. Never found a good (and finished) FS2 Mod (i know of 2 based on HW2, the last one was Darius' work afair (hope u keep going, looked very nice).

While it is brilliant work, it is not quiet what i was expecting (or looking for tbh.). After all, i still want to play Freespace.

Also, i recognize a lot of stuff here from some of the books i did read. Seems u guys did read Alaistair Raynolds and Andreas Brandhorst as well (and if u didnt, go do it  ;) )

BTW: My experience of BP might be hampered by the fact that i am no native english speaker. So sometimes for me it is pretty damn hard to understand what is going on. Not to mention that i have no hopes of reading that stuff fast enough on missions. I often have to pause to read whats going on, and that is definatly not helpfull sometimes. And the moment it gets cryptic i often enough got a feeling of frustration and desperation. You guys dont plan a german translation btw?^^

I just hope voice acting will be done anytime soon. It helps a lot with those problems.

Re: What user made campaigns fit within the Blue Planet continuity?
If the events of Derelict had happened they'd definitely be central to the TEI; yet there is absolutely no mention of them. I think it'd take a massive amount of mental acrobatics to justify that.

Don't ASW ancients and the Vishnans use the same ship models? This would probably rule out ASW

What use could the Ancients have in BP? Neither the Shivans nor the Vishnans particularly cared for them.

Also, wasn't a fanmade Tev campaign in progress?

Re: What user made campaigns fit within the Blue Planet continuity?
Yeah, though I think it's stalled out.

The Ancients in BP were significantly weirder and more hard-SF gnarly than the Ancients in ASW. We're talking radically different biology and consciousness.

It's stalled out at the moment.  Snail is God knows where, Dilmah is mostly done with FSO, and I'm leaving for basic Tuesday.

Hopefully be able to make some progress when I get back, but being honest it's not terribly likely.

Vassago's Dirge reference are everywhere. Notice the GTA Argus and GTC Ascendant.
