Tried running installer twice but to no avail, also looked at troubleshooting page but has nothing relating to this..

Thanks.

Please post your fs2_open.log file.  Instructions on how to do this can be found in this post.

Re: Can't get Blue Planet to work.
Looks like fso can't find the mediavps.
If you already have the 2014 mediavps, I suggest editing the mod.ini file located in the blueplanet directory and replace mediavps_3612 with mediavps_2014.
If you don't have any mediavps, run the FSO installer and install the 3.6.12 mediavps.

Re: Can't get Blue Planet to work.
I've got media vps 3.6.12 installed, instructions say to put it into the blue planet folder wich i have, but should i have put the contents of that folder in or the whole thing?

What? No, it should be in your Freespace 2 folder.

Re: Can't get Blue Planet to work.
Switch back to a release build from debug. That's just debug yelling about something pointless.

You installed the 3.6.12 MediaVPs to /[your FS2 folder]/mediavps_3612, right?

Re: Can't get Blue Planet to work.
For future reference, whenever a debug build throws a warning like that, you can just click "no" and continue playing.

Edit: General how do I do the debug switch?, I cant see any options relating to it on the launcher, am I looking in the wrong place?

Re: Can't get Blue Planet to work.
To switch back to release, you need to choose a different executable in the launcher: fs2_open_3_7_2_RC3.exe  (not fs2_open_3_7_2_RC3-DEBUG.exe)
Creating a fs2_open.log | Red Alert Bug = Hex Edit | MediaVPs 2014: Bigger HUD gauges | 32bit libs for 64bit Ubuntu
----
Debian Packages (testing/unstable): Freespace2 | wxLauncher

m|m: I think I'm suffering from Stockholm syndrome. Bmpman is starting to make sense and it's actually written reasonably well...

Re: Can't get Blue Planet to work.
Ooh that, I must have forget to set it back, thanks guys and my apologies for my noobishness, computers are not my best skill. XD

Re: Can't get Blue Planet to work.
Hi sorry me again :P played and finished Age of Aquarious and just installed the war in heaven act 1-3 and I've got more problems, Game runs but  I'm getting no sounds other than music and missle warning and what appears to be double vision on the hud elements, also tranmissions from allies are mute and sped up.

I would be pulling my hair out if I had any.  :banghead:

Re: Problems with war in heaven now. :(
There's no voice acting in War in Heaven yet.

To fix the HUD issue place this file in [your FS2 folder]/blueplanet2/data/tables. Create that folder if it doesn't already exist.

Re: Problems with war in heaven now. :(
Fantastic, thank you again!  :D
