Using the instructions in Fs2_open_on_Linux and several other threads in the hardlight forums i have created a package to make installing fs2-open in Archlinux easy.

The current version uses mediavp 6.8 zeta with the mvp710 patches and builds the fs2_open code directly from cvs.
The files necessary to build the package (with the exception of the files needed from the original cds) can be found in the Archlinux User repository  :
