Unrecognized command line parameter "-jpgtga".
I compiled from the latest CVS, but get this error at startup.

Code: [Select]
Unrecognized command line parameter "-jpgtga".  Exiting...
I am thinking it is an important flag to pass but I don't know what else to do.

System:
Gentoo more or less updated
AMD64 3700
1,536MB Ram
Geoforce 7600GT

Re: Unrecognized command line parameter "-jpgtga".
It's enabled by default now, so the option was removed.

Thx, I think. So where do I go from here? is there any way from removing that flag from the fs2_open_r binary? I do not even pass it any parameters.

Re: Unrecognized command line parameter "-jpgtga".
Check in data/cmdline_fso.cfg or ~/.fs2_open/data/cmdline_fso.cfg.  It's probably specified in one (or both) of those files.

Re: Unrecognized command line parameter "-jpgtga".
The only thing I am missing are the cinematics, I can see the data/movies/intro.avi using mplayer but whenever I run either the Fs2 or Fs1 port it never runs it. I also try to play the intro in the tech area and it says that it is unable to play the cinematics.

Re: Unrecognized command line parameter "-jpgtga".
AVIs never worked in anything but Windows, and support for them has been ripped out anyway.  Either use the MVE versions (if you have them) or the Theora (OGG) versions.  The 3.6.9 release thread in the main forum has links to the Theora movies if you need them.  There have been various other links posted too, in case the MyDataBus account that I'm using for the movies has exceeded it's daily bandwidth yet again (it does that most days).
