hi, i'm new to both these forums and FS2 in general, so bear with me


i trying to use mediaVPs, enabled in the 5.3 launcher, but when i select the folder as a mod, i get a message saying "mod directory name cannot contain" <- exactly.

i dont know what im doing wrong, but i'm using all lowercase letter, with no spaces or symbols.

how would i go about selecting this folder as a mod?

What's the full path for your Freespace2 folder? It's not just the mod dir that can cause this problem. If you have a path like this

C:\Program Files\FS-2\

You'd get it for both the space and the hyphen. Just move the folder somewhere with no spaces or hyphens (or any other special characters) and see what happens.
