I'm not Andi but I'll step in anyway
- What's your Graphics card?
- How recent are your drivers?

I see, I'm not a real expert on card compatibilities but I have some basic knowledge. Have you got the latest drivers for Vista?
-
well, microsoft (vista) provides a generic driver for vista for the nvidia geforce 2 mx / mx400 cards. Thats what I have! There is no updated driver from nVidia as such for vista! I have searched to death lol.

I see, could be some kind of incompatibility. Are you planning on buying a newer card anytime soon?

hey flint .......
as usual your just trying to find a way to avoid getting your ass kicked
so have a look here http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=248376 (http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=248376)
its the fourth post down
i have no idea if it works
but ive done the same sort of thing to mine all be it without a video card from the stoneage
but if youve got a few quid to spare you should get a reasonable videocard for under a hundred quid... anything above a nvidia 7300 should work , (you would need to overclock a 7300 if you run everything on and high quality.... so have a hunt around and then get your ass back in muli..... make sure its opengl compatible
