By Raa and Ace.

This chart is in full 3d and is also used in BWO command briefings. (albeit with more effects to match with the FS2 look)

looks nice, but one question should there be a jump from (ahhhh.....) Tania Australis or Tegmen to Sirius??? since this campaign takes place after derelict...correct?

Very nice.  I see that Twilight is referenced with the connection between Ikeya and Gehenna, and I notice a new system on the map, Cygnus X-1.

Any particular reason that the text is of different sizes from one system to the next?

Nice Map, but should the Delphi->Kaus Boralis Jump Node, not also collapsed?

Because i have another GTVA Map, there is a Collapsed Connection between Delphi and Kaus Boralis, but it have a double Alphard

I don't think so.  It looks like an isometric render, and none of the nodes (the systems or the little dots) show any sign of perspective.  It's not important, and the map looks great, I just like pointing out the minute things ;)

Bob was giving you a hint, which you should take.

The map is actually in 3d - the smaller the farther away, the bigger, the closer the nodes.

Through some missions, you will have 3d images to show you where you are and where you're going. This was just a shot of them all to represent the BWO nodechart.

Yeah we sort of changed some of that around in recent times.  There was the intention to use those linkages as unstable jump nodes for certain fictional elements in Over The Top by Venom/Nico but that has since changed and we're going with the original nodemap plan.

Excellent work guys, looks great!

That's a really good map. What program did you model it in?

While that reasoning would make perfect sense if the nodes themselves were of different sizes, I can't see why perspective should affect the text but not the nodes.  That leads me to believe it's artificially done (bigger font for "higher" nodes), especially since there's only two font sizes, and my first reading of the map was that the larger-text nodes were marking more important systems or something.  I'm not really complaining as much as I'm just pointing out something that doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

I don't really see why it would be important for the nodes to be of the same size when the text can give you an indication, but okay I guess I see your point.

Don't know what to tell you. Maybe it's an optical illusion, because the way I made the map was with the name right next to the sphere.

It looked like the text size used was changed halfway through and nothing more, which is the only reason I commented on it in the first place.  I'm 99% sure, if there is significant depth in the map, that the render in the first post is a top-down isometric (not a camera) and so the text sizes should be the same regardless of where things lie in the z direction.

Text sizes are the same. I used a modified camera to reduce distortion in the spheres but the text sizes did turn out slightly different.

Doesn't really matter as the in-game CBs look like the FS2 ones.
