Far as I can recall they both have the exact same roles in a company.

Did my homework. The core components of the M.A.G. and the M240 are essentially the same. That being said it is a very reliable weapon. More accurate than the M60 ever was and far less likely to jam. It was my favorite weapon when I served some years ago. :P

Yeah, the good ol' (frikking heavy!) M.A.G. Its role as a squad weapon is being replaced by the Negev.
