Re: Nightly (Windows): 26 Feb 2009 - Revision 5078
I'm having a problem with this build causing random crashes with FSOpen.  I just get a message that Freespace 2 is no longer responding and it closes the program.  I don't get an error log generated and don't get any error messages if I run the debug build.  I went back to the 5063 build and the problem went away.  I moved up to the 5068 build and it does not appear to have the problem.  Since I didn't extensively test the 5069 build I don't know if it had the problem.  I'll try the 5069 build and see if it has the problem and get back to you.  I'm running an HP computer, quad core processor with 8 gig of ram, using windows Vista.  I've got a Nvidia, geforce 9500 518 MB, video card.  I'm running the Sync campaign and have everything set to high in the launcher with all the features enabled.  I'm using the 3.6.10 media VPs.
Normal people believe that if it isn't broke, don't fix it. Engineers believe that if it isn't broke, it doesn't have enough features yet.
The difference between Mechanical Engineers and Civil Engineers is:
Mechanical Engineers build weapons.  Civil Engineers build targets
An optimist sees the glass half full; the pessimist sees it half empty. An engineer sees that the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.

Yes thats correct the crashes happen in mission and not while loading.  Checked out build 5069 and I do not have the crashing problem with the 5069 build.  It appears to be related to something that was included in the 5078 build

Several different ones and usually not twice in the same mission
Edit:
Actually as I thought about it I believe it was the begining missions in sync I.E. the first 3 or 4.
I switched over to the 5083 build and it doesn't seem to have any problems.

Re: Nightly (Windows): 26 Feb 2009 - Revision 5078
That's odd, that included a fix for the standalones crashing, but that couldn't be related could it?  Perhaps it was a hiccup on my nightly build system.
