Title: how do you install fs2 on a computer that has no internet?

I just copied and pasted the data, now nothing works right. I reinstalled the exes withe turey's installer but the launcher is still acting wierd.

did you install OpenAL?

How did you transfer the files?

You can look in my sig for troubleshoot FS2: md5 and use that to verify your files, that will work.  :nod:

1) Install to PC A.
2) Download OpenAL
3) Copy the entire folder to PC B
4) Install OpenAL on PC B
5) Open launcher6.ini ensure that the path to the game is correct (i.e if PC A was installed in C:\Games\Freespace2 and PC B wasn't you'll need to alter the path to where ever PC B was installed to.)
6) Run the launcher. It should now set up the registry, etc.

That should be all that is required.

True.. I was thinking it might have been more of a copy error on one or more of the files.... :nervous:  Try karjorma's advice first.

I think the problem is that I ran the launcher before I fixed thee msi.
how can I fix this?

Delete launcher6.ini and try running the launcher again.

it didn't work :(. it says I have no openal even though I do. and the launcher crashes alot.
