Title: Need help with fresh install of FSO

Hey all!

I just made the switch to a new computer and am trying to get a fresh install of FSO. I did copy my current FS2 directory over from my previous computer, but it's an absolute mess with hundreds of files, folders, mods, builds, etc.

Basically I am not sure where my original Fs2 core files (from a GOG version) are. They're in that folder, but I don't want to just install FSO into that folder. I want to clear the whole thing out and start fresh with just the core retail files needed to run the game and FSO.

To compound the mess I can't just redownload Freespace 2 as I got it from a GOG account that has long been lost to time, years ago.

Can someone maybe tell me what the core files are so I can find them in my current directory, copy them over to a new folder, and install FSO over that?

Hey,

is it okay if i just pass my installer to you?

TBH it didn't work out well when i tried a fresh install of FSO on my PC.

I guess so but I'm not entirely sure what you mean. I've done fresh installs in the past.

Now that I think of it (sorry I forgot this thread!) I think I'd rather try my chances with a fresh install. Thanks anyway, if I do end up needing your installer I will let you know.
