He meant that you must unpack the .7z file and put the .dds files to \freespace2\mediavps\data\effects\ . Which you probably did.

If it doesn't help, it would  seem that the MediaVPs are just too much for your "graphics card". You listed S3 Graphics Co, Ltd as the chipset manifacturer and I haven't met a single person who didn't have problems with the MediaVPs and a graphics card made by S3.

Why i may play BIG  game like   GTA SAN ANDREAS  (5GB)  and NEED FOR SPEED ,but i can't FREESPACE 2.

And why  my problems with screen  only in MEDIA VPS    but  NO   in other mods like FSPORT,FSPORTMEDIAVPS,cardinal,stl..........

Maybe because my graphics card is integrated in my motherboard
ok thank you at least i can play game,maybe in the future i buy good graphics card and no in motherboard but individually.

The size a game takes on your hard disk drive has nothing to do with whether or not your system can run it; it's all about whether or not your system can handle everything in the game media.

In the case of MediaVP's it seems that your graphics card is unable to handle some of the data in the MediaVP's. Of specific reasons to this I have no idea.

My problems is finished

i buy  graphics card NVIDIA GE FORCE 7300  512 MB,and install it,now everything is fine.
i play with full game and full settings ---all features is ON .
Thanks for all your HELP ,i'm very happy now GAME IS WONDERFULL.
Now i have RAM -2gb  and graphics card with 512 mb
Just one little question:
When i formatting (reinstall windows xp pro) what i must doing with FREESPACE 2 ---Did i copy all contents of GAME IN ANOTHER PLACE  all what?
please answer me?

Copy your entire \freespace2\ directory to a USB stick, an external hard drive or a DVD. After reinstalling XP (and all drivers), copy the \freespace2\ directory back to your computer. That's it. Launcher.exe will create all the necessary registry entries when you run it for the first time.

And naturally you must remember to install OpenAL.
