Window 7 x64 Openal32 problem

Selecting FS2_open_3_6_10.exe from launcer

I got the error  "The procedure entry point alcGetString could not be located in the dynamic link library OpenAL32.dll"
and "failed to read flag file"

1- I have bought game from GOG and installed it.

2- Used Tureys launcher for full installation.

3- Installed newest version from openal from http://connect.creativelabs.com/openal/Downloads/oalinst.zip

I am running windows 7 x64.

Any ideas how to get this great game to work.
GOG exe will work but I wont be able to use openal???

Welcome to HLP/SCP/FSO (insert beam here, 'cause I can't find it :( )

You're on the right track - we will also need to check the debug log on the MediaVPs when you do get the executable running - we've had some problems with Tureys installer!

Our problem solving ninjas (and all round awesome guys) will be with you shortly!

The GOG executable isn't FSO - it's the retail executable, and lacks massive eye candy :).
STRONGTEA. Why can't the x86 be sane?

Running Win 7 x64 as well, without problems.

Re-download and re-install OpenAL. Make sure the installer gets admin rights.

Should that fail, follow the instructions under the "OpenAL32.dll not found" part here and remove any possible OpenAL files before reinstalling.

Redownloaded and reinstalled openal and ran installer with admin rights but still get the same errror.

Thanks for the help. I feel so stupid now after spending hours and hours to get this work.
I had openal.dll in freespace directory.

I was about to suggest that. But the question is, how did it get there? I haven't heard of cases where Turey's Installer would place OpenAL files to the \freespace2\ directory. Only ShivanSPS's pack used to do that.
