ATI 4870 HIGHEST GRAPHIC SETTINGS

Sorry if this is a redundant/dumb question... I recently switched from a Nvidia7950 512 to a ATI4870 512 and I have noticed some changes;

First under the Video tab > General Settings options in the launcher is there a Highest? I swore there was when i had the 7950 installed. If there was how do I get it to let me operate at that mode again? If not then sorry for wasting everyone's time.

I have been reading about all sorts of trouble with ATI 4xxx cards.

Any help would be appreciated.

Glad to be playing Freespace again!

Looking at the launcher, I only see 'Lowest', 'Low', 'Medium', and 'High'. Don't have an nVidia card to check, but I highly doubt the graphics card would have any relevance on what options are available in the launcher.

I'm on an nVidia and the options are the same as what Kyad said.

It does say "General Settings (Recommend Highest)" just above. Maybe you're remembering that.

"Highest" is also an option in the retail launcher.

Also, no totally caps lock'd thread titles unless it's some kind of major release. That's just asking for it.

Thanks everyone. I knew it would end up me just missing something.

I haven't played in roughly over a year and was waiting to start playing again until i got the 4870 installed. I saw that and swore I was missing something. Thanks again!

Also sorry for the caps!
