Low framerate in nebula mission
I'm running a linux box, with a radeon hd 4350(R600) GPU. I've tested it with both catalyst(fglrx) and the free radeon drivers. Tested on two FS2 installations, one with Turey's installer, and one with just Freespace 2 and the fs2 open Inferno executable(no mediavps or anything else). The problematic mission is the one in the nebula with lightning, right after the (optional)covert missions.
The lightning seems to be problematic, since every time a ligthning-thing "goes off", the framerate drops to 8 fps.

Any ideas?

Sorry, forgot that. I'm not sure what the "frame x too long!!!" means. Could that be an indication of what's wrong, or is that just normal? And the
 "Unable to find extension "GL_ARB_shading_language_100".

Whatever driver you are using, it is very much crap. Use the proprietary binary instead; the gallium driver seems to report completely moronic data. Not to mention that it is crippling the hardware completely.

Well, I've tried the propietary driver(catalylst), but there seems to be no difference in performance, and the same fps drops in the nebula mission.

+1 - I'm running Linux and have had a number of crashes using 3.6.12.  Recent nightlies have resolved these problems for me.

Re this, are you using YAL or wxLauncher?  Or are you using a script to start FS2?

Sorry for my late response. These problems occur when running Freespace 2 from commandline, with the file with arguments renamed(the launcher creates that one, and fs2 looks at that file for it's arguments, together with the commandline arguments). I'll try a nightly build.
