It's caused by some of the armour not being attached to the main hull, the parts that aren't seem to flip their normals and random faces get deleted or flipped near these pieces.

I'm hoping I can stabilise it enough to map.

Oh, now I remember, some of those parts were copied from the other side then flipped... weird because I did the same thing on the Tyr and you never mentioned any problems. Well, from now on, I will try to model each part seperately.

There were a few probs with the Tyr, but they were minor compared to this one.

I noticed that if I move the bits that aren't attached away from the hull there's semi incomplete and flipped versions of what I just moved attached to the main hull, since these have the same co-ords as the lose bits this might be what's causing TS to panic when they are all counted as one mesh. You seem to have quite a bit of duplication like this on this model.

Not right now, I think the version I have should be useable, but for future models it's something to look into :)

I'll start texturing it in the morning.

Actually it may be best to make sure the mesh is one object. Sketchup seems to combine the seperate parts anyway so that may not prevent the problem, though you could try the Zagreus in that way and I'll see how it goes if you want, though it'll be harder to map the ship if it's in 50 pieces or so.

How the heck does one convert a 2D image to become a 3D model anyway... Or is that impossible...

Taking a look at Sketchup - sucks that I don't have one of those fancy pen-tablet-combo monitors. At least I got my laser mouse working again, but the buttons are still busted and the laser unresponsive.

That model is old...

The awesome makes my eyes bleed, Woo.

What is that, five anti-capship bombs at once? Ouchies. Poor cruiser. Except not really, because it's so freakin' cool.

By the way, is there a chance we're going to get to fly the Peregrine in any campaign? I love its look, not to mention the fact that it's killed what I've been protecting several times. Melikes its firepower.

As the awesome kill-all bomber or is the Holler that one? I dont think they would have the Holler in production that early on, though. What time is INFA2 set, anyway?

The Holler, the later Claymores, and the more advanced EA fighters are not avaliable in INF:A2.

I'm trying to work on the Zagreus, but its very hard. First of all, as usual, I have to un-triangulate it, which is harder, because it is higher-poly than the Tyr or Vidar. Second, it isn't even symmetrical, though it's supposed to be. :wtf: I'm not sure whether to change it around to make it even (which would involve moving turrets significantly :ick:) or to leave it the same (which would make it look bad :doubt:)
