the problem with my joystick is due to WX launcher if i run the old launcher then i can bind controls ... is there any way around this in wx launcher

I am going to need the log from wxLauncher (which can be found at %AppData%\wxLauncher\wxlauncher.log) and from FSO.

Can this be split and moved to the tech support board?

the issue is that unless i flag the controller as a preferred device in windows game controllers the launcher doesnt load it into the game

but the launcher does detect it ...


joystick x52 pro using latest drivers and software(64 bit)
win7 64 bit

no games installed to program files

(also the launcher doesnt seem to save my connection settings)

Okay. I have tried to replicate.  I cannot.  I have even found another joystick to see if it is something to do with complicated setups.  It still works for me, so:

Download and install the debug wxLauncher from here into the wxLauncher folder that is in the Diaspora folder (don't forget to exit wxLauncher before installing).

Change your settings to what you need to do to make it fail.
Run wxLauncher and the debug FSO and post both logs (attach them because they will probably be too long to post in the thread).
