Well, the hades is the most complex model I've built to date, surpassing even TI's 'Spaceball-One' look alike. The greebles on it will make heavy use of detail boxes, and the entire ship will be mapped as efficiently as I can possibly make it. The geometry is completely stable, and if all goes to plan the full detail version shouldn't be too much of a performance hit in-game. :)

I expect there will be two versions eventually - one of around 30 000 polys and one of around 80 000 for those with higher end machines. If you can run ships like the HTL Orion and HTL Hecate with the MVPs, you should at least be able to use the lower detail one. :)

    The ship has kinda an unfinished look to it, or it looks like a model someone would make for some space series from the the 1980s.
    Pretty damn cool.

Oh my *beep* god. I can't wait for this! although, if i'm going to use the 80 K poly version then you guys must fix the asteroids. I only lag whenever i look at asteroid fields in SCP

Well, shafik, whoever he is, isn't affiliated with the FreeSpace Port.  So, I think I have to deny permission.

We do plan to put it on YouTube.  I think we'll set up a port-specific account for all the videos we've made so far.

lol, well....errrm.....haven't gotten that far yet, so I'm not sure myself. :D

I'm hoping to cap it at 2 2048 res textures as a maximum for the 30k poly version, though I can probably go up to around a 4096 res for the 80k.
