Update : Now on kickstarter !Do you remember Rollcage and Rollcage Stage 2 ? They were two racing games released by Psygnosis in the 90s.
These were very intense racing games, with cars having weapons, and being able to drive on walls and ceiling.
Think of Blur, but in more intense, and with more freedom driving-wise.
Robert Baker (developer responsible for porting Rollcage and Rollcage Stage 2 from PS1 to PC back in the days) and Chris (a Rollcage fan) are currently developing GRIP, a spiritual successor to Rollcage. It's going to have very nice graphics, but also I believe the gameplay will be at least as fun as the previous Rollcage.
If you used to play Rollcage, but even if you did not, I suggest to take a look at the GRIP trailer
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=475116317On a personal note, I have always counted Rollcage as one of my favourite games, and definitely the best racing game I have ever played.
That's why I care a lot of GRIP. But even people who never played or heard of Rollcage seem to like it, and that's amazing
(in the Rollcage community, we call this "Rollcage magic")

The kickstarter is now launched, and they need a lot of coverage to make this dream happen
