I thought it's been a while since we've had a proper "which one do you like the most" poll, so here I go.
What is your favorite Vasudan fighter (just because of looks or because of it's stats)? My pick is the PVF Horus, because it is the most beautiful Vasudan fighter ever, and is also a pain in the ass to take down (especially if they are armed with Flails :mad: ).

Well, Bakha is technically a bomber, despite it's armament, size, and file name.

I'm terribly sorry, I was just looking those names from TechFS, and Bakha was written as GVF (I don't have FS2 installed ATM).

Loved the tauret for it's massive (IIRC) payload and it's diverse primaries choice.

Tauret. Thick armor, strong shields, near-bottomless secondary bays, and yet it still has the speed and manuverablity to be a serious fighter.
I'm probably somewhat biased, however, seeing as I spend inordinate amounts of time flying the Tauret while testing my campaign.

Tauret: Somewhere in between a Herc and and an Ares (my Favourite fighter is the Ares)

Horus. It's the fastest Terran or Vasudan fighter, plus it has such a small profile that it's very difficult to hit from behind. And it looks cool. :D

That was the best design ever. I cannot BELIEVE nobody made an mk2 or mk3.

Erm... Draw me a mark 2 concept, and I'll model it. ;)
And it has to be a real concept art, it can't look like Ephili's masterpeices.

I voted Seth. The only downside is that it can't carry the Maxim. Unlike the Tauret, it can carry Trebs (or Pheonix if FS1).

jsut draw an anubis but make it look TIE Defenderish, sounds about like a mk2

Or just add the FS1-exclusive stuff to the vps and tables, so they're there if you want them. Sometimes, a man needs an avenger!
I'm torn between Tauret (best allround fighter ever, IMHO) and Horus. Damn hard to fly that thing with thumbsticks, but killing them is a pain in the ass.

i cant remembre whats it called so i put tauret
but i like the one that has 1 primary bay and 4 mounts and then it has a low secondary cap but extreme maneuverability and its small ... so its the most kickass PVP fighter ever :)

Tauret, just a good all rounder, though I do like the Serapis for being able to fill alot of roles in FREDing.

I like the Tuaret for it's ability to hold 400 Tempest, but the firing points are too far apart.

Seth is best. It would've been tauret but its primary energy reserves are pathetic.

The tauret has the same primary energy reserves as the Seth.

Very thick armor and great shields, so I don't have to look for shivans firing on me: Bakha ;)
And without the Bakha, the Seth would be my choice.

Tauret's up there, but Thoth is my all-time fave. :nod:
Flyin' around with Prom-O's and Interceptors... yeah. :cool:
(Prom-O is the Original from FS1.)

I like the Horus, though truth be told only for spacesuperiority where it's the best damn ship to date.
(It can outrun anyone, though the Apollo and Valkyre turned faster it was little resolve.
It's like an F-16/F-15 vs. the F-14. The tomcat may not win in a furball, but it doesn't have to enter one - burn through and energy fight is where it excels.)
From the same period I use the good 'ol Herc for any assault/escort mission (hey if you're actually assaulting a base and not on escort duty take a damn bomber!).
For bomber interception nothing beats the Valkyre - it has the best handling of all ships and a good AB capacity to hunt down bombs.
(Though for actually taking down the *bombers* I'll take the Herc, 4 synchronised gunmounts are 4 mounts regardless anything else.)

Oh no you don't, this isn't one of those 'pick your favouite ship from each category' polls. this is a Vasudan Ship poll. :p I'm sick of these threads degenerating into wveryone's multiple favourites lists. :p

Possibly, but these threads always become personal lists of 5 or more fighters that each person likes to use for each different role... And that's not the point of this thread. :p

For FS1: Anubis all the way. No afterburners=real challenge. Damn fine fighter to fly though ;)
FS2: Tauret. Huge secondary bays, wide variety for primaries, razor-thin profile, fast...
Did I miss something? Oh yeah, the Tauret rocks.

Anubis. Small sitting duck, low topspeed, no afterburners, small payload. A good challenge to fly...

Oh yeah, something I forgot.. I do love me my Seth, but the Serapis can carry the Maxim and Prom-S. That's pretty damn good for an intercept fighter.

Add afterburners (even crappy ones) to an Anubis and it's an absolute joy to fly. It may be lightly armed and armored but its agility is perfect.
One example of this is present in Ice Heart's Pandora's Box campaign. Another will be in ETF. :)

Among these, the Seth is the best. Of course, I own other Vasudan fighters...

What do you people base your "This one or that one is the best" on?
There are only two of them that are "best", each in their own class.
Naturally, only one of them is _the_ best.

Speaking of Thoth's, anybody remember that one Silent Threat mission (forgot the name) where you have to protect the GTSC Giordano and an Elysium from an endless enslaught of Thoths?
Or Black Omega? Well, you can see why I hate Thoths. ;) Really an impressive fighter, though.
