Cant get passed breifing

okay so i downlaod and install the game and when i go to play the first mission this comes up....
Mission: Gilding The Lily
has a 1024x768 loading screen but no 640x480 loading screen!

i press no twice and then the programe stops responding,
i am not a techie so dont realy have an idea of what to do, any help and i would be very greatfull.

When posting any tech issue, you should list your full system specifications and OS version you're running, it's next to impossible to diagnose if we don't know what you're running on :)

In the launcher, are you running a debug or regular build? (In the launcher, go to basic settings tab. There should be a drop-down menu near the top that says "FS2 Open executable:", you should see which build you have selected there. Oh, and welcome to the boards!

i am running fs2_open_Diaspora_R1_Debug

operating system:  windows 7 ultimate
processor:  AMD Athlon II X3 450 processor, 3200 Mhz 3 cores.
memory: 8.gb ram
graphics card: AMD Radeon HD 6800 series

not sure what else u want me to find u tell me what else u want to know ill find it out, sorry im being a pain in the ase haha thanks for taking time to read and help :)

what this means is that you have your resolution set at something lower than 1024x768 in the Launcher. Open the Launcher, open the Video tab in it. There should be a drop-down menu for the resolution there. Select a resolution that is at least 1024x768. Preferrably select whatever matches the resolution of your monitor.

Also, unless you specifically want to generate logs or something, use fs2_open_Diaspora_R1. Or whatever it is called. The one that is NOT debug.

i  changed the resolution and played it in normal build not debugged and that message dissapears the breifing louding screen load two of the small circles then program not responding :\

AHAAAA for some reason it works now small glitch when loading but so far so good thank you guys great work what your doing here keep it up!
