  • Inventor of FS2 bullettime ;-)
Also a heartfelt thanks from me :-) Just tried a few missions and I am still loving it. And the Freespace Blue is brilliant...     I hereby admit that I was working on something similar for FS1 and 2 back in 2014 but had to cancel it due to time constraints. Nice that you went ahead and fixed FS2.

Two things currently bug me:
* I have to set my options and keys for every single campaign I play...    I know the new pilot code has benefits but this is not among them.
* have you fixed the dialog in" ...But_Hate_the_Traitor" and "Clash of the Titans" where wingmen die before finishing their sentences too?

Dialog timing in Titans got tweaked so you can hear more of their lines.

Just adding my thanks to the entire team for putting out this amazing release and the quick turnaround in helping me get it running. As always, I'm blown away by the quality of the work and the level of detail that goes into the entire production.

I'd also like to thank the team for keeping me up way past my usual bed time last night. I had only hoped to play through Forced Entry, but ended up having either COLD SWARM ganging up on me or having the Sacred Keeper hulled by the Rakshasa cruisers in Keepers of Hell before deciding to call it a night and noticing it was 1:30 AM.

Let me tell you something: you guys are my heroes!

I really mean it. You guys are literally my heroes! I don't think there is a single mod on this planet that has such a high quality and that has been released for such a criminally underplayed game. For this reason alone, it really stands apart from the rest. I don't know how you have managed to keep yourselves motivated after all these years, making a mod a for an ancient game, but I am grateful for it. And I don't care how many years it will take to complete the BP trilogy in all its glory, but I fully expect it to happen regardless.

Keep up the good work!  :pimp:

I could name a few  :p

Edit: That is not to say that BP isn't amazeballs though! And it is criminally underplayed compared to other games, just not compared to the other high quality fs2 mods. Is what I'm getting at.

Don't mind me, I'm just being jealous.

If you're reusing the same pilot and still have to set your options over and over again, something has gone horribly wrong.

If you're not reusing the same pilot and instead creating a new one for every campaign, that's your problem.

<MageKing17> "There's probably a reason the code is the way it is" is a very dangerous line of thought. :P
<MageKing17> Because the "reason" often turns out to be "nobody noticed it was wrong".
(the very next day)
<MageKing17> this ****ing code did it to me again
<MageKing17> "That doesn't really make sense to me, but I'll assume it was being done for a reason."
<MageKing17> **** ME
<MageKing17> THE REASON IS PEOPLE ARE STUPID
<MageKing17> ESPECIALLY ME

<MageKing17> God damn, I do not understand how this is breaking.
<MageKing17> Everything points to "this should work fine", and yet it's clearly not working.
<MjnMixael> 2 hours later... "God damn, how did this ever work at all?!"
(...)
<MageKing17> so
<MageKing17> more than two hours
<MageKing17> but once again we have reached the inevitable conclusion
<MageKing17> How did this code ever work in the first place!?

<@The_E> Welcome to OpenGL, where standards compliance is optional, and error reporting inconsistent

<MageKing17> It was all working perfectly until I actually tried it on an actual mission.

<IronWorks> I am useful for FSO stuff again. This is a red-letter day!
* z64555 erases "Thursday" and rewrites it in red ink

<MageKing17> TIL the entire homing code is held up by shoestrings and duct tape, basically.

Decided to come out of lurking for this one:

This is without a doubt the biggest and baddest campaign there will ever be for FS2. I can't thank you guys enough for the amazing work of art that is BP! Feels sort of weird that only a comparative few know about something so cool :-)
