You have to manuever properly to counter a 'rant. That said, if they know how to maneuver as well, you are screwed. Trem 1.2 will fix some of these balance issues.
Jet-pack is nice, but if you get hit it cuts out for about a half second (way too long!), and this lets them hit you again if they know what they're doing. Also, if you're unfortunate enough to have your reac dced or destroyed during jetpack, then it will shut off. BTW, some servers have a "no Luci-spamming" rule, and IT SUCKS! The Luci-spam is about the only thing the human team has that is equal to the 'rant.. I note they don't outlaw 'rant rushing... stupid alien fanbois.
