I've got another idea.... again...

First off, question. the lastest pcs 1 build that supports gun normals, I can't get the pcs view window to have the normals actually move, their always pointing (0,0,1)  even if i change the values.  Is this normal?

Now the idea... Allow you create a dummy object (call it target point), a box will do, allow you to move it around, closer or further away from the model.  Select a gun or guns, and have them autovector to that target.  This will allow you to quickly setup auto convergence.

Heres a pic (Black is the ship, blue is the dummy target, green is the gun barrels, red are the vectored lines)

i think that ones on the todo list. its really just a matter of some really simple trig.

Actually, that info might be useful, as if it's happening with multiple programs, find out what's needed in common between all of them, and that might lead to the culprit.  Takashi, which of Bobboau's programs are crashing?

aura, prox 1, prox 2. all are unzipped and consist of one .exe and several .dll's.

In the meantime, was there a newer build of PCS1, that fixed certain things like the 100 turret handling limit?

Wait, I thought someone said it was limited in the gui not going past 100 objects or something.  I swear someone else just mentioned that.

umm... what ****ing 100 turret limit? that's not a pcs limit

I have noticed something with PCS with many multipart turrets (more than 30 some). 
After PCS you'll get something like:
turret01
turret36-arm
turret02
turret02-arm
turret03
turret03-arm
....
turret36
radar

I don't know if the turret fire points are messed up, I didn't go beyond this point.

possibly an autoturret bug... but i'm not worried with PCS1 anymore - no major servicing will happen to it

Wait, you mean besides the fact that modelview is unstable as hell and eats memory like nobody's business?  And that there are several other features that are simply not available in modeview?

Takashi, you said there was only one reason you use pcs instead of it, which makes it sound like you like the app.  Then you turn right around and state that it's awful, as soon as someone points out the other problems with it.  I wasn't talking about anything specific really, even as a model viewer it crashes on me, but your general statement about it sucking was not directed toward any specific abilities, but the program as a whole.  Once again, speaking without thinking.  Slow down, and think.
