Hello,
I'm working on a little cutscene project and I need a female voice for it. It'll basically be a monologue, but the voice acting is going to be crucial to the atmosphere of the cutscene, which is a very tense, frantic and uncomfortable atmosphere. The pilot in this cutscene is going to be on the verge of tears for quite a bit of it, and there will be as some blatant sobbing, and I need a voice that can convey that convincingly.
Anyone interested will need to submit two lines for audition, in either .ogg or .wav format please. Auditions must be emailed to me at
[email protected]. Please name your files in this format:
username_linenumber.ogg or .wav if you're using that.
These are the lines:
Line 1:
This line is spoken in a tone of extreme distress and fear. The pilot is panicking; it is clear she has been crying recently and is on the verge of more tears.W-where am I? I-I don't know where to go! What am I doing here?
She quiets down to a mutter, which crescendos to a desperate plea for help with the last fragment:They're after me. They're after me! I've got to get away? How do I get out of here?
Line 2During this line the pilot is frantically searching for an explanation as to why a fellow pilot isn't communicating with her. She's rationalizing the situation, but giving in to her rising panic. You're not speaking. You're not speaking. You- comms system. Your comms are down. You're not speaking because your comms are down. You haven't... no. You haven't betrayed me! They can't-
The pilot has just seen something horrifying. She is clearly crying in despair, unwilling to comprehend the situation. No! No! No! You can't! Oh, Sam! Sam!
I will be away from my computer for the next few days but once I get back I will go through all auditions received. Anyone who submits an audition during the time I'm away can expect to hear back from me by the end of the week. There's no deadline, beggars can't be choosers, and I'm willing to wait until I find the right voice for this cutscene.
Thanks in advance!
