Being able to set different particles per species, or modifying the existing species debris would do that a bit better ;)

No, I'm not talking about particles. I'm talking about the stains FROM them. Bloodstains.

I don't know if he is to be honest. The Decal system has been something that has been promised as soon as the materials system is done. The only problem is that we no longer have an OpenGL coder to work on the material system.

Perhaps I should have said "We never had an OpenGL coder to work on the material system" :)
