Well, I suppose a dirty and easy way to benchmark by way of massive battle is to slap a bunch of destroyers in FRED together, enable beam free for all and play that.

Hmm, maybe some of the mission packs on Knossos have some massive battles.

It's still an amazing mission, but it hardly works for benchmarking purposes as the assets are simply too old.
