Re: [SPOILERS] Shivans, Shambhala, & Great Darkness Explained
There's a very, very simple explanation for why Steele's going in early. Imagine that you've realized your opponent has a masterclass supercomputer that can predict every optimal move you make.

I considered that, actually. Hell, Ken even said something along the lines of "you're assuming that being optimal is not in itself a fatal weakness". Do something very non-optimal and you might catch your opponent by surprise and win anyway, yeah?

I'm just shocked that the Fedayeen could be caught completely off-guard knowing what I know about them. Perhaps I'm overestimating their ability to gather intelligence, especially given that the Hammer of Light's presence is rapidly evaporating. Perhaps my feeling on the matter is more like, "Hey, that's not fair!" Feels like cheating somehow, you know?

The tease of an epilogue was emotionally devastating, by the way. :(

Unrelated: I sometimes wonder if the GTVA has its own CASSANDRA.
See the Granite Hunter files. Look for the term "red asset". Draw your own conclusions.

CASSANDRA is a single specimen.  Out of all the GTI research in Sol they only recovered one.  Whatever the GTVA has seems to be less potent (or CASSANDRA wouldn't be such a game-changing tool), so I doubt they have one too.  "red asset" might have similar function, but I think CASSANDRA is unique.

So many assumptions being made here...

Re: [SPOILERS] Shivans, Shambhala, & Great Darkness Explained
IIRC GTVA's Red Asset was to be used to translate a Vasudan language/body of text, but was then rebuked on grounds that it isn't taking requests for the time being. It's in the GRANITE HUNTER's earlier docs.
What is an "old nazi plate"?

One puts food on it then goebbels it up.

Question; are these files a lore-based in-game thing or should I go hunting on this forum for that? I'd love to read more but I don't have time to go searching on my own most days. TL;DR Links appreciated.
A story like the previous one never existed...

There is at least one file that never made it into that article, but I'll try to fix that when I have some free time.

Both of the files about the RCT group aren't in there. I have the 2nd one saved locally but I can't edit the wiki so I  can't put it in.
