I've been trying to assemble custom profiles for my campaign's wingmen and other characters. I've added personae and messages to my .tbl file (on top of all the originals), but when I set a ship to use one of those profiles in-game, they don't seem to say any of the messages.
Specifics:
The missions I've been testing contain an enormous number of allied fighters. I have two generic wingman profiles; I've been setting half of the fighters to one and half to the other.
I have made sure to set the mission mood using the SEXP.
The messages I have tabled are Arrive Enemy and Praise -- a couple variants of each for each of the two wingman profiles, plus a couple for my command persona (Father Runihara).

Try posting the mission as well. Or, if that would give something away, try making a test mission with only a few ships.

My theory is that praise messages etc only play from allied fighters that are in wings. Possibly only from the first 3-5 wings (alpha, beta etc)

Oh. Sorry, I should have said something earlier. I fixed it. Issue was I had built-in messages disabled via sexp in all my missions, because the retail messages weren't appropriate. Just had to remove the sexps and it worked.
