I've got the 1650x1050 version around - but my connection is really hurting today so cannot connect to my FTP server for uploads...

He wasn't even on a lag pursuit when he launched them... a lag pursuit would have resulted in a better effect. Well, it doesn't matter... :)

Yes he was...his nose was well behind the bandit.

That's lead pursuit.

The hundreds of times I heard it yelled at me in Falcon 4.0 drilled it in rather deep.

The missiles are flying lead-pursuit. The fighter is flying lag pursuit.

Lead pursuit means that you lead ahead of the bogie, you aim at where he will be.

Lag pursuit means that you aim behind him gradually adjusting so as to end up following him. Compare Hornets (Lag) to Harpoons (Lead).
Gettin' back to dodgin' lasers.
