The Icanus would need many, many, many shots of its USilv/Punisher to defeat the Gargant, providing that the Shivan Hive does not return fire.

The beam did not fire 30 times in a second. The effect was simple to represent: an event with the fire-beam SEXP and repeat delay of 1 second.

No, I'm pretty sure that one beam alone does 4% damage. Unless by salvo, you were talking about one beam firing at a time, then that makes my posts redundant. So if this is true, just ignore it. You might want to be more specific next time.

EDIT: To clarify, the Colossus's beam cannons were LRBFG and they do 41,800 damage each, and the Sathanas has 1,000,000 hull, so it does ~4% per beam.

The Doctor is a Lucifer-class destroyer. The mission that it is featured in is titled "The Face of BoE (Obligatory)", which is where I took this screenshot.

How would that work? The beam can't get through the entry warp hole until it goes through the ship, and beams don't go through ships until they die...

Effectively, it means that the prism effect is useless.



What happens if you open a subspace rift inside another ship? That could be a cool concept for a weapon.

Anyway, did you take that pic from the main FS2 campaign? If so, I've never used to watch the Knossos blowing up from that perspective.
