I was thinking more along the lines of making Hecate textures in the same dark + blue style as the dark Orion textures, but I'm having issues with the shinemaps making the colors the default green and brown.
Actually it's not really working out, the Hecate barely has any glowmaps to make a dark texture look impressive like it does on the Orion.


Screen to display, anything with shiny just becomes green and brown again, anything black or blue has no shinemap.

You think so? Half of it is green and brown while the lights are blue, shinemap complications are keeping me from finishing this.

Yeah, I was about to point out that you were illustrating an SCP bug, not posting a glory shot.

Just lack of user experience, if I find out how to properly change the shinemaps, problem solved.

Just open the -shine fine and hue/saturation it?
It's very simple.

I tried making them monochrome but even then it works for one shine but for the other there's still an obvious tint of green and brown.


And to keep pics going I will introduce ShadowGorrath's dark Aurora in a Derelict-style lighting enviroment.

Something's weird about that model.  Smoothing's wrong.  I'm pretty sure it was right in the final version I released...

Never mind, not a bug. My lighting settings were too low for specular to work.

I remember on the Volitionwatch archives there were a load of black reskins for Terran/Vasudan warships, looked really good but they used the old models etc. + the archives don't work particularly well these days.
