Here's an F-14D. It's giving me a headache. For some reason, during the DAE-POF conversion, the "center" of the wings subobjects switches to the other side, making the wings rotate strangely. That, and the fighter's got lighting issues, I think.

By the way, did you ever find that UCAV  I uploaded useful? It will need a new map, of course, but otherwise the mesh should be pretty decent. I can always go back over it as well.

It'd be better to make the wing sweep a variable based on indicated air speed. That's how they work in reality, rather than being an on/off sort of thing.

No, they rotate after engaging afterburner.

No, they rotate once you hit Afterburners. There is, AFAIK, no speed-based animation trigger.

Is there a way to simulate movement relative to skybox? Watching the same place for 10 minutes during dogfight doesn't make much sense IMHO.

I just came up with a neat idea for Wings: unlockables! Destroying hidden targets in certain missions will unlock a special bonus fighter based on a real-world design. None of these fighters are canon in the Wings storyline--they are just bonus material:


F-14G Tomcat II, unlockable fighter for the United States. A heavy strike fighter with loads of missiles.
