Yeah it sures looks more like a laser than a beam. Huh, wait, i mean...

Aren't beam sizes set in the tables ?
Maybe it's just because it's changed by the MediaVPs ><

I recall the mediavps BVas being more like a solid wall of flame than a solid beam of orangey-yellow light. Maybe it looks different only when MV_Advanced is enabled.

Retail beam

I secretly like the retail beams a little more in most cases.

Heh... the retail beams were just barely colored.

The retail beam itself is pretty nice (it's smoooooth) but the beamglow's kinda lame. (Oh hey. sphere.)

I think what I like better about it is the brightness and the sharply defined edges. It somehow feels more powerful.

Not that the new one isn't very pretty. But it's a bit more saturated and a bit less coherent.
