Given how disgustingly easy it is to find a legit copy for sale, it's really not abandonware.

I have the original, not the special version. But it doesnt ship outside of US/Canada, and I'm not going to buy a version of Freespace from Interplay (the bastards) and then ship it off to someone. What is the best solution?

Just give em what you got.

hey, read the bloody EULA, you're allowed to make perfect copy's for your friends/relatives, IIRC, AFAIK.
