... The 4chan servers are all I play on, because I can't be bothered to take the game seriously.

I always just sort the server list by name. There are usually 2 or 3. They'll be in the 4's...

I finally got the Orange Box a couple of weeks ago and it runs great on my new pc. Episode Two was a bit short, but it was so well done and intense that length was well worth the sacrafice. Portal was fun and very amusing. I laughed my ass off at a few parts. Now I'm waiting for Comcast to get off there rears and build that two mile cable line to my house so I can play TF2.

You could always spend $1000.00+ per month for a pure wireless connection.

....

I've seriously seen ads for those.  :doubt:

EV-DO is only like 50$ a month where I live, and it's as fast as DSL/Cable in some places. That's about 20$ more than Cable, if you can manage.

And I know that AT&T has it, so Comcast probably does.

Most ISPs have Cable nowadays. In rural areas though, it's patchy.

I live in a rural area, and cable's been here for a while, but it's not used by Bell. And since my dad gets 40% off Bell services (he works for them) it was a no-go until about '05.

Good stuff. I suppose I'm lucky since I live on a tech-heavy college campus.

The only choices I have for broadband is Satelite and At&t's data connect plan which is something called either hsdpa or hsupa and it uses normal cell towers. Satelite is not going to happen. It is too expensive, horrible lag, and the stupid so called fair access plan (very limited). The At&t thing would be good, a 3.6 mb per second cell card. They want a two year contract though and if cable or something newer and better comes through here I will not be stuck with that, especially for 60 dollars a month.
