Title: Need a copy of VC++?

Was at the MIT Flea market today, picked up a copy of VC++ 6.0 professional for 50 bucks.

Sealed, in box, fully licensed.

Figured someone here could use it, so, I'll sell it at cost +shipping (which in the US will be about 5 bucks).

Half off, legal, any takers?

theres something very strange about a product that costs thousands of dollars and is a microsoft product that would legally be 50 bucks

Meh, I allready have it. I really don't see anything strange about it, and I like it a bit better than '.net' because of compatibility...

VC++ 6.0 Professional is about 100 bucks. 6.0 is also being phased out in favor of  .net

This was MIT's swap meet, lots of people go there to dump surplus inventory amongst other things ;)

Sorta like eBay, which is where  this will end up if no one here wants it to work on the SCP.

well at the time that I got it (Visual Studio 6.0 professional) a couple years ago, it was IIRC a couple thousand $CDN. Luckily I got one of the licenced copies from my dad's work (along with a few other fun little overpriced programs).

That was enterprise edition then ;)

Actually professional edition might be a couple hundred, and "standard" only a hundred. Can't find 6.0 listed anywhere.

Even better a deal then.

You're absolutely right, it's standard edition that is 100 bucks

Professional is more like 2-400, and as I noted, I can't seem to find a copy of version 6 out there anywhere.
