A lil poem i wrote BEFORE sept.11 but it has NOTHING to do with it. This was all fs and fs2 related but i have been told this can also be used for the terrorist attack. I wrote this during my times in the 79th Tango Squadron. If any of you have read the 79th's lil fan fic i wrote the too:P (a lil pimping of my own). Well without further ado here it is..any feedback is welcome...


I Was There

I was there when the Demons were pushed back
I was there…

I was there through the torment and anguish
I was there when your back was against the wall
I was there when we were about to fall
I was there…

I was there when that sun died
I was there when millions of people cried
I was there with the heroes we lost
I was there when we remembered the cost
I was there…

I was there when you didn’t make it back home
I was there, but not all alone
I was there sad and proud
I was there when we knew we won
I was there.


Dedicated to Hawk, and many others who I can’t name specifically because I would need about 20 pages to write them (you know who you are). I love you all, and thanks for the support and inspiration you have given me.

You know Alan, I really dont like the screenname you chose, that is the same as a transport from freespace 1 which made absolutly no sense in the story... I mean you were capturing a Cain cruiser at the time... then it blows up... then suddenly "plunk", wasted cinimatic in the middle of nowhere!! What were you thinking?

no that is just coincidence...im actually using the name 'Azrael' from the Azrael from teh batman comics...i was using that long time before i played fs1... but i thought it was nice :V: used my name in the game:P:P

Why not simply name your self after the original Azrael (http://www.pantheon.org/articles/a/azrael.html) and be done with it?

Considering the meaning of the name I`m suprised that :v: didn`t use it for something a little more scary than a troop transport.

Shivan troop transports are scary as hell if you are on a capital ship. Can you imagine a troop transport docked with your destroyer, deploying loads of Shivans?

True and I suppose in those conditions The Angel of Death would be a good name for troop transport except for one thing. I can`t think of a single occassion when the shivans boarded something in FS1 or 2 when they weren`t invited. :p
