it's no big secret the gov't's been testing anti-grav tech, and it's been proven to be possible, although not working very well :nervous:
-
I wonder if the whole Area 51 thing has anything to do with the Nazca lines or the Ica Stones... (very interesting topic to say the least)
-
Area 51, also known as dreamland. Where we develop and test our new technologies. The original home of the stealth fighter and stealth bomber. Here's the thing, how long had the government denied the existence or each aircraft, as compared to how long Revell and Monogram were putting out plastic models of them? I think that what actually happens is that the american public gets desensitized to the existence of such projects. When it is finally released, we say, well duh, why did you think we didn't know. Now the big question, why desensitize us before hand? Is there reason, or are they keeping our attention focused elsewhere. Right now they deny the existence of the SR-92 Aurora, they've just quit denying the existence of the Switchblade. In a few years they will acknowledge that yes the Aurora does in fact exist and that yes it is the reason for the "donuts on a rope" contrails that we have seen. Why is our attention being focused elsewhere? Or is that just an effect of secrecy. We pay attention to it and dig. Maybe there is nothing else going on, maybe there is. People better than me at conspiracy theorization can figure that out.

shown with rudder or with reaction control valves?

no idea what you're talking about (anyway, if you make a search for switchblade bird of prey on gopogle, you'll find 50 times the same pics on different sites, so that should answer your question ). it's an ugly piece of plane, that's all. can't believe they made that fly :doubt:
I hope for the USAF sake that those pics are nowhere near what the real thing is :p
-
what i want to know is why everyone is trying to find this stuff out. it's kept secret for a reason, so unless you are a spy or something, it's better to not try and uncover these secrets.
-
Bah, with all the attention Area 51 gets, I figure that the U.S. moved all the secret stuff to somewhere else a long time ago. Area 51 is still there because it draws people away from the new facilities like moths to a flame.

Lazar claimed that the government was studying the propulsion system of the spacecraft, which were flown to Earth from the Zeta Reticuli star system. According to Lazar, the Reticulans have been overseeing human evolution for a hundred centuries, and since they were found out, they have been cooperating with the U.S. government on a direct exchange of technology.
Now this is quite a joke... :D  :D

No one in the government or military would call it Area 51. In the days of the Nevada Test Site, they divided sections of base into areas and designated them with numbers. This area just happened to be area number 51. They don't call them by these numbers anymore. So yes this place does exist, yes it used to be called area (or section) 51, and no aliens did not come here.

"Here"?? As in Earth, or as in Area 51? Where are you, anyway? :wtf:

And some say the AC-130 Spectre gunship is ugly, but to enemy ground units...well, their dead. :D

Oh crap, I've said too much! Um, I'm afraid I can't let you leave now with this information... :D

No one can leave HLP...:D
Anyways, I bet you the most secret place on Earth is Area 49. After all, if there's an A51, gotta be a A49:D

what about the area1? :p

It's called Hangar 18... Aroura I heard had too many problems and that's why they scrapped it and went to switchblade... the discovery channel is a jewel of info... As for the antigravity, there was a documentry about some sort of mag lev and the Air force test pilot was on a bogey board with controls on top of a old lady's walker mounted on it :)
I am more concered with teh rumored real mech being built in Japan...
-
A mech? Bah! In this day and age a mech would be far our classed compared to the newest and fastest tanks. Mechs just aren't practical for this day and age.

???Mech's???;7
yippie! but it be nice to see some exo-armor like in the spider man movie, i think that armor would be so cool if that was the new Green Beret Armor lol.
-
Not if they were really flexible and computer controlled to move across varied terrain quickly. I can envision some unique ways to get around that would outclass tanks in certain environments.
Switchblade is a neat looking plane. I love its new age stealth design. Looks like the F-22, the JSF and the other aircraft that are currently being developed. With the jagged edge stealth lines....awesome :)
-
Yes, but the size of a mech which is about 40 feet high, in this day and time couldn't reach 50-60 kph even with a turbine diesel. Just not going to happen, unless you had some sort of nuclear powered reactor to maintain a mass amount of energy to it. I do think they would be cool, but we just lack the right power source to supply one.
-
meh, japanese mecha are not all 40 feet high, stop thinking mechwarrior is the universal reference :p
in urban fights, a mech would kick any tank, but still, in urban fight, a lone soldier with a RPG would kick any vehicle, so...
-
Ok...I'm going to state this once in all caps, but I am not yelling.
RPG'S WILL NOT PIERCE HEAVY TANK ARMOR!!!.
There. :p
-
They would if you shot it into the enterance port ;)
-
But that's not likely to happen. :)
-
Never say never... unless someone offers you a couple of million dollars to say it ;)

yeah, and a heavy tank in a city is sure useful :p
anyway, shoot at the tracks, and see if it'll do nothing :p
-
They don't need the tracks, they can run without them. :p
-
yeah, i wanna see a 4 tons heavey tank running w/o tracks. anyway, the tracks wouldn't be the only things to "vanish" in the little firey cloud :p
-
no real point of tanks or mechs these days; you have planes for surgical strikes and ICBMs for mass kills. :D

'Specially with that new electrified armor the British have cooked up.

I was reading this Area 51 / gov. conspiracy site the other night.. almost had me goin too, untill Franky Roseavelt was visited by 3 different alien delagations... and then the part about how JFK was shot by his driver who was an alien assasain...
btw, do they have "government conspiracies" in other countires beside america? or is it a good ol' Freedom of speach thing ;)
-
Over 15 years ago I was in Jhs or HS and saw that falklans thing go down and was my first glimpse of the harrier jump jet (clever British ;) ) anyway at that moment I said Hmm VTOL? Why not go all the way, we now have plane and guardian mode, give it a robot urban fighting transformation and you got a LAM? If you need to engage ground targets or shoot the missiles from the ground mount extra weapon pods ABOVE the wings not below so the weapons fire has clearence to engage. I thought I was a genius back then
Then I took the blue pill...
-
lol
* dreams of one day seeing an ORCA at an airshow*
*dreams of building it with legos ;)*
-
Some guy actually did that once; I remember seeing a Lego orca model after the C&C fashion somewhere on the internet...
-
Find it and i'll bake some cookies :D

Yeah, that'll break the tread, but those can be field-replaced in 5 minutes if the crew knows what they're doing.

No, they can't. The only "wheel" connected to the engine is not touching the ground.

4-ton tank? Wow - must be some sort of anti-gravity armor... and hull... and electronics.... and crew.... and ammo.... ;) Your average tank is around the 70-80 ton range, FYI. The M113 APC is 35 tons. The turret-less tanks I used to ride around in were 52 tons. Dang, they were fun. :D

that was a wild guess, it proves my point even more ;)
and I wanna see the crew change the tracks in the middle of the street when they just suffered from RPG attack :p. you've played renegade, you know what happens when you go out of the tank to repair? "snipe" :D

Bah - are you even hinting at comparing Renegade to reality? :wtf: I've also "played" reality in Jenin; we didn't dare stick our heads out of the hatches. But on the one occasion when people needed to be outside, well, have you ever heard of coordinated cover fire? ;7 Or even better, making an example. We have APC-mounted gattling guns - 0.7" IIRC - that were originally created as an anti-air platform. But you'd be amazed at what they can do to reinforced concrete, especially when each bullet/shell has 2/3rds the explosive force of a Mk. 4 Fragmentation Grenade, and it spews them out at around 7000 rounds per minute... ;7 ;7 ;7 Remember, in real life, dead is dead - there's no such thing as respawning.
EDIT: Corrected the explosive force of the gattling gun bullets. :D
-

meh, that was just a pun :p
I'm not stupid enough to compare a game to real life :p

See above :p

What? Are you saying life isn't like Grand Theft Auto 3!?!?!?! Awww...and I was about to go steal a 400,000 dollar car and kill some cops and get me a couple of naked prositutes! :(
And my bad, thinking of something else that could run without the tracks then...hhmmmm don't remeber what is was though. :blah:
