Whats the mathematical proof for getting a 69? :D
-
this is going to be messy

dayum vyper, you just threw a bag of dog **** on the fire...

that's an understatement... we're going to need more than flamethrowers to stop this one
-
If you: 68 + 1 = 69!
There....:D
-
Good, good, we needed one of these... :D
Actually 69 does not really have any special number-theoretic properties (sum-of-powers, primality, etc.) and almost all of the "special" numbers encountered in analysis are transcendental.
Here are some of the more common special numbers:
http://pauillac.inria.fr/algo/bsolve/constant/constant.html
Out of those, the ones I most frequently encounter and use are the following. All have some really amazing propeties. :D
Archimedes' Constant (p)
Natural Logarithm Base (e)
Euler-Mascheroni Constant
Gamma Function Constants
Exponential Integral Constants
Stieltjes Constants
Khinchin's Constant
Omega Constant
I will post some nice special function proofs in a little while. ;7

*wonders if CP knows the hidden joke*

*wonders if CP knows what 69 also stands for.* ;7

;)
Told ya, don't look at me like that.

You scare me :shaking:
-
Oh, don't do that. I get violent when people get scared.

/me wakes up from being passed out on keyboard.
69? What? Huh?
/me passes out on keyboard.

what? :wtf:
*me goes back to screwing up the NW forum*

Well I am not really a math fan, but can we use this thread to ask you "geniouses" to help us out solve math problems? That could be a good use for this thread.
-
uhh.... can you say

Ah its all going to plan....

69? Thats the biggest factorial (ie 1x2x3x4...x69) number you can fit into most calculators... Apart from 69.000000001! which is ever so slightly higher. I managed to waste some time in maths working that out, i was quite proud.
