You're all wrong. AFL is the best code on Earth. We play a contact sport - without helmets! Ahhhhhhh! Collingwood and Brisbane playing off in the grand final. Go Brisbane! (I'm not particularly fond of them, West Coast's my team, I just want the flag out of Victoria.)

Heh, I don't think so. Cleveland's on a two game winning streak while Pittsburgh is reeling from an 0-2 start. They can't stop the pass and that's what Cleveland is doing really well so far this season. It'll be a close one, but I predict the Browns to win 23-17.

The Browns do play the Ravens the week after in PrimeTime on ESPN (Sunday 9pm EST) and I'm afraid the Ravens are going to get killed like they did last year and they aren't even half the team they were last year. :D

Don't tell me you're a Couch-hater too. :)

Actually, I don't blame you. I don't really trust Couch myself. He's had too many bad games for me to forget after his one performance this season. He'll have to have a good game vs. Pittsburgh to show me that he's really improved this year. (Although a lot of his passes on Sunday, especially the ones to Kevin Johnson, looked spectacular)

Is that supposed to be impressive? Playing a full contact sport without helmets is just dumb. There were a lot of football players who died from head injuries in the early stages of the game. It's just a game, there's no need to get hurt or killed over it.

i don't hate couch in any sense, i just think that holcomb preformed better in the two games he's played so far (even if they are against some of the worst teams in the nfl)

Maybe, but without all those pads and helmets, you can jump up on your opponents back to take a mark from about 10 or 12 feet in the air... All great fun. :D

Kicking ass?!  My friend, that wasn't kicking ass, that was beating on a dead horse!  I think the only reason the Rams made a touchdown in the 4th was because the Niners pulled their players and let their cheerleaders play for the last 10 minutes.

Ok, Who do you think is gonna win tonight's game?
Title: Are you Ready for some Football?!?!?
Post by: Dynamo on October 07, 2002, 01:28:07 pm
Green Bay and Chicago right? It should be a good one for sure. Green Bay's run defense is going to have to stop or at least slow down Anthony Thomas. In the mean time, Chicago isn't exactly known for their stellar pass defense and with injuries to Warrick Holdman and Ted Washington, I'd be worried about Farve passing all over the field.

It's a game between two teams that should be playing into January, so it should be close. Even though the Pack and Da Bears aren't my favorite teams, I'll be watching the game anyways.

Oh yeah, Dynamo's Prediction: Pack 24, Bears 17.

I agree. Couch just doesn't seem up to the job in Cleveland any more and the fans are starting to get sick of him not moving our offense down the field. Holcomb has proven that he knows the system and can spread the ball around. Plus, any QB who limps around like that during a hurry up offense and can still make throws and almost win a game when you were down 23-0, should start in the NFL, period.

No doubt, Tampa looks tough. Couch is going to get a lot of Warren Sapp in his face all day.
