Okay, I'm trying to make an emoticon for fs2. A GTF Apollo to be exact, but I can't figure out the background color. Here it is.

Any ideas?
EDIT: I'll have to fix the url. Gimme a sec.
EDIT2: Cut and paste the address into the address bar in your browser. Here's a post with another pic of it. http://pub37.ezboard.com/fthediscussionfrm5.showMessage?topicID=1.topic I know, its the only post in that whole forum, I just put it up yesterday, and I haven't advertised it yet.

what grapics proggy are you using to make this (and the emoticon is jacked up on the forum too)
-
Well, its broke now, but I'll fix it. Anyway, here's how I made it. Not to original:
Took a screeshot out of modelview32, saved in, used PrintMasterPlatinum to crop it, then used Paint to touch it up. I just need to know what color to use a transparent.
-
As long as it is a .gif (which is the only way that you will have have transparencies) you will probably when attempting to save as a .gif, in any decent proggy you will have options to set the color pallet and the transparent colors when saving to .gif.

Yeah, I better reinstalled that Pain Shop Demo.

Here's the URL. You might have to copy and paste it inot the address bar.

no slashes in the breaks, no space in the img src part...and HTML is off....

hmm...ok...for starters, emoticons are supposed to be a little bit cartoony. I would reccomend using some proggy to downsize it a bit, and change it to 16 colors so that it will 'round' the colors to give consistancy over the whole image. Then go in with paint (or other gfx proggy) and add 1 pixel wide black outline around everything. After that you should have a quick-and-dirty semi-decent emoticon...
-
Yeah, I know. Its not the end version. I was going to add an outline, but i hadn't thought about the colors.
-
emotoicons are supposed to be hand-drawn, 15x15 (usually), and only have 16 colors. I mean how hard is to shade that many pixels... theres only like... well (15 * 15)

meh...I forgot the size!! ahh!!!
