the average blue whale produces over 400 gallons of sperm when it ejaculates, but only 10% of that actually makes it into his mate. So 360 gallons are spilled into the ocean everytime one unloads
just thought that was interesting.
and you wonder why the ocean is so salty :D

Parts of the above highlighted in red have been edited due to racial discrimination/stereotyping

What's even weirder is people were listening for the echo. Grant money at good work there.

we need that smiley. Put that smilie to the smilie list.
this is so wrong... :wtf:
-
I didn't even know duck quacks did not echo, but then again has there been a field test of this or something? (putting some ducks in a large room to see if the sound echoes off the walls :D)
-
I'm sure millions of dollars of goverment money were spent testing it out
-
it was that or the new toilet seat in the washington bedroom. God knows how bad they needed one.
-
Is that all ducks? Or just certain breeds?

:wtf: You call a large room a field test?? Do I want to know what you consider a controlled laboratory environment? A broom closet, perhaps? :wtf:
;)

Thanks a lot, Stealth! I just add dinner and you had to come up with this "interesting" fact.
*vomits*

somehow the 2-million EEK toilet, which was built near our government building a year ago comes to mind.

It has been tested many times, and quacks DO echo. But since most people can't be bothered checking the facts for themselves, bits of misinformation such as this keep on getting passed around.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to finish clearing my desk of the water I was drinking when I read the first two posts
-
Oh dear god... I really.... REALLY didn't need to know that :shaking:

*raises right arm, index finger pointed skywards*
Lock please!

we're discussing facts, the topic has now changed to echoless ducks... it's quite harmless, no warez, no bad words, no flaming, just discussion :)
-
Yes, but, the whole whale thing... I mean, you know, (http://smilies.uniquehardware.co.uk/cwm/3dlil/puke.gif)

I originally locked this thread after the first five posts or so, as soon as I saw it. Dunno who unlocked it, but I plan on finding out!
