I found about it today. I just really wanted to see HLP in another language so I translated the page. Kinda looks better in French than in English.

No one has ever said that the Fish translates well. Its literalist and simplistic in the extreme. Language translation is not a job best trusted to machines: they fail on human subtlety.

For real fun, take some text and translate it into French, then french to german, german to japanese, japanese to spanish and spanish to english (or keep going until you get to a language you like). The results are incredible. :D

Heh, even I can't figure out what hes saying.
Hmm...the first part actually means...ummm, I don't know what he self products... :wtf: shouldn't it be je ne sais pas ce qu'il produit...naaah. Damn Stunaep, what the **** are you trying to say. this is the sickest french I have seen in years.

I tried what mikhael suggested with a two-way translation and the strangest results came up; here are the funnier ones:

Quote
Original sentence in English: The limiting value of the difference between the poles of the exponential integral and logarithm functions is the Euler gamma constant.

Korean: Between the pole of quotient whole and log function is different the restricted value Euler feeling E to do not change.

French and German: The limiting value of the difference between the fattenings of the integral and the exponential functions of logarithm is the constant gamma of Euler.

Chinese and Spanish: The value limits this entered integral differentiates the polar area and the gamma of the logarithm of Euler is this constant.

All eight languages in order (this is the best one :D): Diverse increase gamma of the limit of the value of the smallness, the Euler who is with that incorporates pithead of the activator of the exit of the function of the registry the space that the repairs had moved in the whole c.

:D :D :D

CP, that would've been funnier if:

1) We knew what all those terms meant.
2) It wasn't sodding maths.

I just typed in some random thing that was on my mind at the time, but you don't need to know any math for those; just look at the sentence structure and the strange words that turned up in there. :D There is "fattenings of the integral", something about "differentiating the polar area," (in math, the words have completely different meanings from the originals), and I don't even need to say anything about the last one. :D :D

That would've been funnier if:

1) You had just said "They look all the same to me!"
2) There were a dancing monkey holding a watermelon right behind you.

Correction: if he were dressed just like Carmem Miranda it would be even more fun!

Unfortunately, no.  Google only displays the interface in Klingon - it doesn't translate on-the-fly.  Someone had to translate all the buttons, etc. previously.

However, I've found a real, actual Klingon translation program!  It's really good, too.  Can anyone read this? :D

mu'tlheghvam DalaDlaHchugh, tlhIngan DaSov

It's available here: http://higbee.cots.net/~holtej/klingon/poj.htm
