What are the extra missions in SOTY edition? Can they be obtained elsewhere?
-
On Liver: why would you want to eat another creatures poison filter?
-
No, it's another Borealis :wtf:

No unopened Lego 5571's over there (ebay) yet; gah, I am getting more and more mad at myself every day for not immediately snatching up the one on Bricklink last month and allowing that other little pill to buy it...

awesome :)

From the auction description
Set in the same universe as Descent, albeit in a different era, Descent: FreeSpace? The Great War represents another of Interplay's forays the space combat genre generally dominated by LucasArts and Origin...
Same universe?? I hadn't thought about that - I assume the Descent games come significantly prior to FS1...
From the auction description
Despite having a name that sounds like a hard disk utility...

The 20 extra missions in the Sci-Fi Sim of the Year edition of FS2?? Are they on the VWatch archives?
-
I think those extra missions are single-player versions of the gauntlets and the Templar campaign, but they have not been changed around at all for play balancing and so on. The rest of the missions are all available from the internet. (this is just what I have heard, as I don't have the SOTY edition)

It's that truck I posted here a while ago; this (http://www.1000steine.de/users/brickset/images/5571-1.jpg) one. :D

Ohhh, dang! I remember so well drooling over that truck's brother - the one with the flat front. This one:

I HAVE THAT ONE! :D It's terrific... but now it sits gathering dust in my parent's house.

Ah, the 5590 Whirl & Wheel Truck! I would really like to get that one as well since it looks neat and seems to have many useful pieces, but this item is a bit hard to find these days. (released in 1990 and discontinued in 1993) I don't have any Model Team stuff yet (at the moment my entire collection is Technic), but the 5571 Black Cat model seems to be very popular among Technic people as well and was recommended to me by several of them. :D

cool; that what I heard from other owners as well... :D (and since I am a total Technic fanatic, I think I must check this one out)

Do you guys know about LUGNET (http://www.lugnet.com)?
-
I post regularly in the lugnet.technic newsgroup there. ;) (any other Technic nuts around here? :D)
