Title: Guide to getting DX8 build env set up?

RT: got a quick getting strted guide to the DX8 build? I assume you have an updated DSP, and it might expect things in certain places :)

Suggestions?

Got a guide for us? Posting here so we can get the instructions stickied :)

I have the merge instructions, we should talk about how we want to do that too :)

Make sure you install the DX8.1 SDK to the default dir: C:\DXSDK
Otherwise you might have problems, dont know why!

I believe I am using DX8.1 or 8.1a, probably only 8.1b is avaliable now but hopefully the differences are so small it wont cause any bother.

Dont expect it work properly unless you have a GF4 on XP and are dont expect it to compile on anything other than visual C++ 6.

Anyone wanting to help should really contact me before hand or they might do more damage than good.
