Title: OT is there a way to disable the visuals in Windows M edia Player

sorry about this, but my sister screwed up a buch of stuff and I had to get a new copy of WMP (amung other things), I have been useing to old versions becase I hated the waistfull  visual effects, and I was wondering if there was a way to disable them

Yup, just apply the 'miniplayer' skin, or another that doesn't use visualizations.

I think the one you're looking for is "Classic Skin".

Under one of the menues is a 'now playing tools' sub section. There's a choice in there of whether you have vis on or off.

Click the View menu, select "Now Playing Tools" and uncheck Visualization.

Or you could just get the far superior music player WinAmp... that works too.

or musicmatch jukebox 7.1 that has a super equalizer!
