Is the eye function in PCS where you determine where the cockpit of your fighter/bomber is?
If it is, then how to work with it, if not, is there a way to determine from where player will look during the game?
-
That's always what I thought it did... use ModelView to change it. Much easier.

no, don't do that, coz modelview doesn't save the change. try it, move the eyepoint, save, reload: hop! it's back to where it first was :p

OK then, find the coordinates in ModelView then use them in PCS.

This is a really good tip. I often use MV32 to work out co-ords for things only to input the values and save out using PCS.

I seem to recall also using this MV32 method for nebula trail points.

Nebula trail points? I forgot about that. Have to edit all my pofs.
Hey, I'm testing some of my models and weapons before I put them on my page for download. A strange thing happend.
The Heavy Ion Cannon - like a MUCH cooler and powerfull version of the Terran Huge Turrets, does 10000 damage - act's strange. I put the Iowa vs. the Sathanas, and the Iowa starts fireing. The Ion blasts hit the Sath doing heavy damage...until it drops to about 40%. The weapon keeps hitting the sath, the damage meter bliks, but nothing else happens, even after 20 shots (20x10 000 = 200000)!!!! When another weapon hit's it (the beam or the missile) it does normal damage to it. What is that all about??????
-
Did you tag the new weapon "Huge" in it's flags list? I'd be willing to bet that's the problem. Capital ships flagged "big damage" can't be killed with weapons lacking the "Huge" flag, sort of stupid but in there anyway.

afaik, weapons hardpoints and... engines maybe, can't remember, can be inputted in MV32 directly. They save.

I think they're dealth with in the tables, and only on fighters or bombers IIRC, though I guess you could put them on fast cruisers or Gunships if you wanted to...

you can put them on everything if you want I suppose, but that doesn't mean it'll look great.

Of course they are tagged Huge...Do you think I plan on hitting fighters with that weapon?
